Domæneregistrering

Det er vigtigt, at man finder det rigtige domænenavn til din hjemmeside. Vidste du, at der i dag er næsten 700 domæne endelser ud over .dk, som din hjemmeside kan have? Domæneregistrering gør også, at du kan få din egen E-mail adresse, og så er du uafhængig af din telefon og internetudbyder samt reklamefinansierede tjenester som Gmail og Yahoo osv.

Linux Webserver

Linux er et styresystem ligesom fx Windows og Mac OS. Et styresystem er et specielt program, der gør det muligt for andre programmer at bruge computerens hardware som fx processor, ram, harddisk, skærm, tastatur, mus og netkort.  Man bruger mest Linux til kontor-pc’er, men er også begyndt at blive brugt til almindelige pc’er.

FTP

FTP står for “File Transfer Protocol”, og er en af de mest benyttede metoder til at sende filer mellem to computere. Når man benytter FTP, kræver det, at man har installeret et FTP program som fx FileZilla.

MySQL Database

MySQL er et open source SQL relations-database styringssystem, der er udviklet og understøttet af Oracle. En database er en samling af data, der er organiseret til let brug og hentning. For et WordPress-sted er det super godt at bruge, fordi den sikrer oplysninger på din hjemmeside så som registrerede brugere og teksten du har skrevet eller billeder. Alt daten bliver også indlæst automatisk, så alle de vigtige indstillinger, konfiguration osv. er klar, når man kommer ind.

DNS Administration

DNS er en forkortelse for Domain Name System. DNS oversætter domænenavne til internettets IP-adresser via navneservere. Alle hjemmesider eller placeringer på internettet har en talkode, som kaldes en IP-adresse.

Mail Server Opsætning 

Når man har fået sit eget domænenavn, kan man gå ind på ens mail og oprette så mange mails, man har lyst. Det, jeg har brugt, er IMAP, som er en mail-protokol, der bruges til af adgang til e-mails fra ens mail-server. Det, der er super smart med IMAP, er, at man kan styre sin mail-server fra mange forskellige enheder. Nået, som også er smart, er, at dine e-mails ikke kun bliver gemt på mailserveren, men IMAP gemmer også en kopi af din e-mails på alle dine enheder.

WordPress Installation

WordPress er et super godt og nemt program, som man bruger til at bygge hjemmesider. WordPress startet med bare at være CMS, men med tiden er det blevet det mest populære værktøj til at bygge en hjemmeside eller blog med. For at komme i gang med WordPress skal man have en hostingpakke eller en server.  Når du har en server, så skal man bare have installerede WordPress og have lagt over på sin server, så skal du have oprettet dig, og så er du godt kørende.

CMS Administration

CMS betyder “indholdsstyring og vedligeholdelsessystem” på dansk. Det er med andre ord et system, som kan styre og vise ens hjemmeside og dens indhold. CMS er et program, som kører på en webserver. Det bruges til at udgive og styre virksomhedens hjemmeside med. Dette er fx ens tekster, billeder, menu, nyheder og video. Det hele styres fra en standard internetbrowser, hvor som helst fra i verden.

Skabelon/Plugins Installation

En WordPress-skabelon er en design-skabelon, der definerer en bestemt side på din WordPress-hjemmeside. WordPress-skabeloner er noget, som er inkluderet i dit WordPress-tema. Man kan også downloade mange andre skabeloner. I WordPress er det super simpelt at installere en skabelon eller plugin, man kan fx downloade enfold, som er en skabelon. Efter man har downloadet enfold, skal man bare gå ind på temaer og trykke tilføj. Plugins er lidt nemmere, fordi der er en menu på wordpress, og derfra kan du downloade de plugins du synes.
